The Sign Hunt

We have been learning about verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. Yesterday Josh, Will and Tom took photos of signs on the Junior side and the Senior side of the school. They took the photos for a photostory to put in our assembly next week on Friday. Signs are important because they are a non-verbal way of communicating messages. Do you know where those signs are located and what some of their messages mean?

Our Pouwhakarae

During Maori language week one of the activities we did was to visit the Pouwhakarae that are around our school. These 5 Atua/Guardians have been placed around our school reminding us to take care of our environment. Each guardian represents a different god. Here is our photostory explaining each of our Pouwhakarae.
